What is a reduced rate?

"Preferential tariff" - tariff for passengers who, in accordance with the decision of the Lviv City Council, are entitled to benefits when using public electric transport; provides for the presence of the passenger in addition to the document which gives the right to a privilege.

Fare payment procedure

4.5. For privileged categories of passengers, when applying the reduced fare, the passenger must also have a certificate entitling to the privilege.
4.6. Passengers who, in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine, have the right to travel free of charge in the city electric transport of Lviv, must have with them and present for control the appropriate certificate confirming that the passenger belongs to the privileged categories.

5.4. The absence of a validated travel document and free transportation of a child aged 7 to 16 or unpaid luggage entails liability under Ukrainian law: purchase a ticket from the controller at a penalty rate and pay a fine for ticketless travel in the amount provided by the Code of Administrative Offenses.

5.5. Malicious disobedience to the lawful order or requirement of a transport employee who controls the transportation of passengers are: refusal to present for control travel documents, documents for the right of free or reduced fare or refusal to pay travel and fines, or an attempt by a passenger a way to avoid penalties if the controllers repeatedly demand such actions. These actions entail liability under the laws of Ukraine.

Rights and responsibilities of passengers

The passenger has the right to:

The controller has the right to:

6.4.2.2. To confiscate invalid travel documents from passengers, as well as invalid documents certifying the right to preferential travel.
6.4.2.3. In case of use of the tariff plan by the passenger preferential tariff to check the availability and validity of the document , which confirms the right to the relevant benefit.
6.4.2.4. Accept payment of a fine for free travel and a travel document according to the tariff plan ticket to the controller at the scene of the offense.

Travel of persons with disabilities of groups I and II, children with disabilities and persons accompanying them

According to Part 1 of Art. 38-1 of the Law of Ukraine "On the basis of social protection of persons with disabilities in Ukraine" persons with disabilities of groups I and II, children with disabilities and persons accompanying persons with disabilities of group I or children with disabilities (not more than one person accompanying a person with a disability of the I group or a child with a disability), have the right to free travel in passenger public transport (except taxis) in the presence of a certificate or certificate specified in this Law, and in case of introduction of an automated fare accounting system - also an electronic ticket on a free basis.

From what age do you need to pay for travel?

Travel for up to 7 years is free. Students who have the status of a student, in the presence of a valid student also have a reduced fare.

Do servicemen pay for travel?

Conscripts, cadets of military universities who are on conscription have the right to free travel with a military ticket or other certificate. However, servicemen who are on contract service and cadets (contractors) pay for travel.

Travel of persons with disabilities of group III

Travel of persons with disabilities of group III (for life) have the right to free travel in the presence of a certificate. Also, persons with disabilities of group III in the presence of a valid certificate or certificate MSEK in accordance with the validity period. Upon presentation of the MSEC III group certificate, show the employee of the control service an identity document.

Travel of full-time students of higher educational institutions and students of vocational schools

Full-time students of higher educational institutions of I-IV levels of accreditation and students of vocational schools, regardless of ownership, have the right to preferential travel in urban electric transport in Ukraine, which is set at half the ticket price (Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine from 5.04 .1999 №541 "On approval of the Procedure for granting preferential travel to students of higher educational institutions of I-IV levels of accreditation and students of vocational schools in urban and suburban passenger transport and intercity road and rail transport in Ukraine").
